The Abbess Garden is a cozy historical gardening game from MD Studio, set in 17th-century France at Port-Royal-des-Champs. Players will grow and care for plants, explore the gardens for new species and collectibles, and decorate their plots, while uncovering a narrative filled with queer romance, espionage, and court drama.

The story spans five years, weaving real history with fiction, inspired by titles like Strange Horticulture, Botany Manor, and Pentiment. Beyond gardening, players will uncover secrets, meet richly written characters, and experience the political and personal struggles of the era.

With inspirations rooted in both history and horticulture, The Abbess Garden offers a unique blend of cozy gameplay and narrative depth.

Launching Q1 2026 on Steam, with a Nintendo Switch release planned later.
