Helionaut

Helionaut is an open-world space adventure game focused on exploration, crafting, and travelling between procedurally generated planets.

Helionaut is an open-world space adventure game developed by Sokpop Collective, built around exploration, crafting, and light combat within a procedurally generated universe.

Players travel freely between small planets, asteroid fields, and space encounters while searching for ship parts and resources needed to progress. Each playthrough uses a unique world seed, encouraging discovery and experimentation as players uncover new environments and challenges.

Crafting plays a central role in progression. Resources gathered during exploration are used to upgrade equipment, unlock new abilities, and improve survivability during both space and ground-based encounters. The game balances relaxed exploration with moments of tension, particularly during combat or resource scarcity.

Released as a compact, self-contained experience, Helionaut reflects Sokpop’s signature design philosophy of focused mechanics and playful experimentation. While relatively short in length, it offers a distinctive blend of exploration and crafting that stands apart from larger-scale space survival games.

Players interested in exploratory survival experiences may also want to check out Volcanoids, which emphasises environmental pressure and base management, or LoneFarm, a quieter management-focused game built around routine and discovery.
