Deck of Haunts Unleashes Its Biggest Update Yet

Indie developer Mantis Games has released the second major free content update for their haunted deckbuilder roguelike Deck of Haunts. The update is available now on Steam, adding a monstrous range of new horrors — including Creatures, haunting cards, cursed rooms, and two brand-new Starter Decks.

New Horrors Await

• Creatures – Summon imps and other ghastly allies through Spawn Cards. Each creature adds unique ability cards to your deck.
• New Cards – Architect-themed cards like Architect’s Toll and Crushing Architecture scale in power with room tile size.
• New Rooms – From the sinister Bathroom (where drain effects double) to cursed chambers, the mansion grows deadlier.
• New Humans – Fresh prey with unique behaviors and traits to test your strategies.
• Starter Decks – Two new ways to play: the Creature Deck and the Creative Deck.

Growing the Nightmare

This update follows June’s Nightmares & Scythes expansion and represents the largest content drop yet — delivering 26% more haunting power for free.

Deck of Haunts is also now part of the ID@Xbox Indie Selects Demo Fest, where Xbox players can experience the haunted mansion for themselves.
