GODBREAKERS Launches Worldwide – 20% off until 6th November

By Rob from the Shack

I’m excited to share that GODBREAKERS has officially launched on 23 October 2025, available now on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5. It’s a huge moment for the indie action roguelite scene and one I’ve been keeping an eye on for a while. If you’re into fast-paced co-op chaos with real depth under the hood, this one deserves a spot on your radar. #RGS

What the game is

GODBREAKERS throws you and up to three friends straight into intense, fluid combat where every run counts. It’s a 1–4 player online co-op roguelite built around tight movement, precise chaining, and the thrill of stealing powers from fallen enemies. Every combo, every dodge, every Godbreak finisher feels designed to keep you in the flow.

Some standout features include:

  • Combat that feels sharp and responsive, with full control over cancels and chains.
  • Enemy-power absorption that lets you turn a boss’s ability against them.
  • Six evolving biomes filled with unique hazards, secrets, and big bosses.
  • Deep build variety thanks to archetypes, weapon unlocks, and ability crafting.
  • Solo play that still feels complete, but with co-op synergy that takes it to another level.

A few early reviewers have called it “a stylish third-person roguelike that keeps you in a rewarding flow state” and honestly, that’s a fair description. It’s fast, flashy, and surprisingly strategic.

If you like games that mix precision combat with co-op teamwork and repeatable, build-heavy runs, this is one to watch.

The studio behind it: To The Sky

The team behind it, To The Sky, is a Swedish studio founded in 2021 by developers who clearly love gameplay-first design. They’re based in Gothenburg and partnered with Thunderful Group for publishing support, which means GODBREAKERS is both an indie passion project and a seriously polished debut.

Even though this is their first release, they’ve nailed an identity: bold co-op action, confident systems, and style that stands out. Partnering with Thunderful gives them the space to stay creative while delivering something that feels properly finished.

Why this matters

For me, GODBREAKERS hits a sweet spot in the co-op action space. It’s got great moment-to-moment gameplay, real build depth, and enough personality to carve its own place among the bigger names.

Here’s why I think it’s worth talking about:

  • It’s a fresh release with plenty of potential for coverage and community play.
  • The co-op gameplay makes it perfect for streaming, YouTube features, and shared moments.
  • It’s the kind of game that could grow fast with post-launch support and events.

What I’ll be keeping an eye on

  • How stable and polished the co-op is on day one.
  • How it runs across platforms, especially Steam Deck and PS5.
  • Whether it nails that “just one more run” hook that all great roguelites have.
  • Future updates or expansions that build on the current biomes and combat systems.

Final word

GODBREAKERS has finally landed, and it’s a wild ride. It’s bold, loud, and built for anyone who loves stylish combat and co-op mayhem. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on how it evolves in the months ahead — this feels like one of those indie debuts that could really grow into something special.
