The Abbess Garden Demo Blooms on Steam

France – MD Studio has announced that a free demo of their cozy historical gardening game The Abbess Garden is now live on Steam. The full release is planned for Q1 2026 on PC, with a Switch version coming later.

A Garden with Secrets

Set in 17th-century France, The Abbess Garden blends relaxing plant care with a narrative full of romance, espionage, and court intrigue. Players take on the role of a gardener at Port-Royal-des-Champs, cultivating plants, tending soil, and exploring the grounds for rare species and collectibles.

But this is more than a gardening game — over five years of story, players will uncover relationships, navigate conspiracies, and experience a world where every flower may hide a secret.

Demo Available Now

The new demo invites players to step into the gardens early and get a taste of both the cozy mechanics and the branching narrative. It’s an early chance to see how real historical plants, character-driven storytelling, and thoughtful design come together.
