Voidling Bound Unveils New Gameplay Trailer During Monster Taming Direct
Canadian indie studio Hatchery Games, formed by ex-Skylanders developers, premiered a brand-new gameplay trailer for Voidling Bound during the Monster Taming Direct 2025 showcase.
A Monster Tamer With a Twist
Described by fans as a cross between Spore and Warframe, Voidling Bound is an action-packed 3rd-person shooter where players take direct control of customizable creatures known as Voidlings. Through branching DNA evolution, gene splicing, and breeding, you can shape their abilities, playstyle, and appearance in near-limitless ways.
In the new trailer, Hatchery Games revealed the depth of the splicing system, showing how players can experiment with wild mutant genes to craft unique Voidlings. The trailer also introduced Gwigoon, a mischievous Voidling master of self-replication that overwhelms enemies with devastating clone attacks.

A free demo of Voidling Bound is available now on Steam, featuring:

Since its debut last May, the demo has earned a 98% Positive rating on Steam across nearly 300 reviews.
Release Date
Voidling Bound is set to launch in Q1 2026 on Steam, with console versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 coming later.
