Cyberpunk Roguelike Into The Grid Announces 10 November Early Access Launch
After glowing feedback on the demo, indie devs Flatline Studios are gearing up to release Into The Grid in Early Access on 10 November 2025.
This cyberpunk roguelike deckbuilder / dungeon crawler hybrid invites players into a layered digital world called the Grid. You descend deeper through strata of security and data in search of the Core Node, all while facing tougher and more cunning adversaries.
At launch, Into The Grid features two playable hackers, each with their own decks, Commands, and playstyles:
- Ursa, the Stray Dog — a fan favorite from the demo, built around Feral and Grit
- Darwin, the Maker — introduces new tactics via Assist, Script cards, and the Augment mechanic
Each layer runs for roughly 40 minutes, giving players a natural breakpoint to plan strategy or pause and resume later.
What’s Coming in Early Access
Early Access is just the beginning. The devs promise ongoing updates including:
- Fresh characters, Commands, Drivers, and environmental themes
- Balance tuning, mechanical adjustments, and bug fixes
- Expansion into lore, missions, events, and narrative arcs
The team is committed to community feedback and will constantly iterate on the core experience.
Why This Matters
Into The Grid stands out by fusing tactical deckbuilding and dungeon crawling in a cyberpunk context. With a dual-resource VIM system, unique Commands, and layered navigation, it offers strategic depth beyond many roguelikes. The evolving story and hacker-focused characters will add emotional stakes to every run.
For fans of card-based games, roguelikes, and cyberpunk worlds, this one is worth watching.
