Anchor’s Lament

Anchor’s Lament is a multiplayer roguelite strategy game by Imperial Playgrounds, where players command crews of strange sentient creatures across the endless seas. Each unit brings unique abilities and synergies that depend on where you place them on a 2×4 grid.

Every fight follows the rhythm of your anchor. As the anchor beats from right to left, it triggers your team’s attacks to the tempo of the song. Plan your layout, chain abilities, and build combos in time with the music to crush rival captains.

Build, Adapt, and Compete

Recruit new units, collect equipment, and experiment with off-meta builds to keep your strategy fresh. Each event, from mysterious sirens to traveling shops, gives you new opportunities to refine your approach.

Seasonal Updates

Imperial Playgrounds plans to release new seasons every two months, adding new units, mechanics, and events. Older seasons will rotate into Chaos Mode, letting players revisit any era and face opponents under matching seasonal rules.

Cross-Platform Ambitions

Your progress, teams, and cosmetics are stored securely through Supabase, enabling future cross-platform play — including mobile support. The game will be free to play, with optional cosmetic purchases for anchor, character, and background art.

Demo Details

The demo introduces the game’s rhythm-based combat and strategic systems, offering a taste of the full experience without progression or unlocks. Expect a wealth of new content and customization options in the full release this November.
