A hand-drawn post-apocalyptic RPG that mixes classic turn-based combat with proper cosy home life vibes. Simple to pick up, lovely to look at.

Artis Impact drops you into a post-apocalyptic world that’s been hand-drawn map by map, and honestly it shows. The combat’s turn-based and keeps things straightforward rather than throwing loads of fiddly systems at you, so you can just get on with training up Akane, upgrading gear and taking down bosses without a headache.

What we really like is the tone. It’s a dark future setting but the writing keeps finding room for warmth and humour, helped along by Akane’s AI companion Bot. The art style leans into retro pixel work mixed with a comic book feel, and it gives the whole thing a charm that’s hard to pin down until you’re playing it.

When you’re not exploring or fighting, there’s a proper slow-paced home life to sink into. Decorate your place, pick up part-time work, cook, exercise, or just have a bath and unwind. It’s the kind of game that lets you choose your own pace, whether that’s chasing the story or settling in with a potato croquette.
