Beanlings

Beanlings is a free hobby project from Sproutverse where players collect pixel-art creatures called Beanlings, playable directly on Discord or in-browser with no download required. The game features over 2,000 unique creatures spanning seven rarity levels, from Common up to the ultra-rare Divine tier.

Players explore a 2D world split into four biomes — a magical forest, a fiery volcano, a golden reef, and shadowy badlands — each with its own resources, creatures, and boss-like guardians (like a moss goblin or lava golem). Alongside collecting, players raise a baby Beanling through 100 development stages and four DNA types, with what you feed it shaping how it grows; after about 30 days it matures into a unique collectible card.

Other features include a player-driven marketplace for trading creatures and items, a 3-vs-3 arena and league system with rankings, and regular events offering real-world prizes shipped by post. The developers emphasize the game is entirely free with no pay-to-win mechanics, and it’s currently in open beta. There’s also a spin-off browser game, Beanlings Kickoff, a free football/soccer management sim, and a GPS-based mode called Sproutverse Live for collecting items while out walking. Minimum age for registration is 16.
