Channel 453

Channel 453 is an interactive visual novel for Windows and macOS. It is classed as a psychological thriller, gothic, horror otome game. The player takes the role of a young woman who has forgotten her own name and retains only fragments of memory. She is drawn into Channel 453, where a man named Liotte speaks to her from inside a television as though he has been expecting her. The story explores trust, anxiety, obsession and the meaning of true love. The protagonist is female and uses she/her pronouns, although many scenes are direct conversations in which characters address her simply as “you”.

Much of the game is told through one-on-one conversations. Three characters are introduced: Liotte, a calm and mysterious man who appears to know more about Channel 453 than he reveals; Ivan, a sharp-tongued man who behaves as if events around him are already familiar; and the protagonist herself. The game includes 12 CG illustrations and 7 endings, with an estimated playtime of 120 to 240 minutes.

The developer lists a content warning covering psychological tension, glitch effects, jump scares, themes of obsession and meta-horror elements, including fourth-wall-breaking sequences. The developer’s fan content policy welcomes non-commercial fan works and permits streaming and gameplay videos, including on monetised channels. Commercial redistribution, re-uploading of game assets, use for AI training and content that significantly distorts the original intent are prohibited. On Steam, the game has more than 10 user reviews and a rating of Positive.
