Cloudscrapers is a minimalist strategy game centred on building towers up into the clouds. According to its developers, the game was inspired by the experience of watching cloudy skies and passing storms.

Each run begins with a basic set of tools, and the aim is to build the tallest tower possible. Progress carries over between attempts, with players unlocking upgrades that help them build higher on later runs. Sessions are designed to be short, and the building mechanics avoid complex menus and systems.

As the tower grows, players come across ancient relics and uncover mysteries hidden within the clouds, some of which the developers suggest may be better left undisturbed. The story unfolds gradually as new heights are reached. The game uses a hand-drawn visual style and has received more than 100 reviews on Steam.
