Color Blocks
Color Blocks is a precision platformer built around colour matching: players can only stand on platforms that match their currently selected colour, choosing between Red, Green, and Blue on the fly to make sections of a level solid or pass-through. The game can be played solo or with up to four players, who are connected by physics-based ropes so that jumps, falls, and colour changes affect the whole group. Overlapping platforms can blend into new colours, opening routes that require cooperation between players. Changing colour while inside a platform triggers an ejection effect, pushing the player out through physics.
Co-op options include local play with keyboard and up to three controllers on one PC, Steam Party lobbies for friends-only sessions with synced level starts, and online co-op with host-authoritative gameplay. Rope physics can be set to coloured or neutral modes depending on the level style. Levels include launch pads, checkpoints, and an optional rising lava hazard, with the objective of reaching the flag as quickly as possible.
The game includes a built-in level editor for placing platforms, goals, checkpoints, launch pads, and lava, along with a level select screen offering both built-in and user-created levels. A speedrun timer tracks best times on each stage. Accessibility features include colourblind palettes for Protanopia, Deuteranopia, Tritanopia, and High Contrast, which alter visuals without changing gameplay. Controls support full keyboard rebinding, gamepad input via Steam Input for Xbox, PlayStation, and other controllers, and UI navigation with mouse, keyboard, or controller.
