A narrative game in which players connect to Leena, a food courier who can see the dead, and help her investigate a wave of restless spirits while balancing gig work and rent.

Courier Beware is a narrative-driven game in which the player installs a strange program that connects them to Leena, a young woman who works as a food delivery courier and can see the dead. After establishing this connection, the player assists Leena in uncovering the cause of an increasing number of restless spirits appearing in her city.

Gameplay combines food delivery work with mystery investigation. Leena earns money through delivery jobs, some of which involve haunted locations, requiring the player to weigh the risk of these jobs against the customer ratings and income needed to pay rent. Investigating the supernatural events relies on both observation and the development of Leena’s stats, such as knowledge for identifying artefacts and charisma for interacting with certain characters or spirits.

Time management is a core mechanic, as both delivery work and investigation take time, meaning the player must decide which mysteries to pursue and which to leave unresolved, sometimes negotiating with unknown forces to progress.
