Don’t Stop Cutting The Trees! is an incremental game in which the player controls a lumberjack travelling through forest regions that become more dangerous over time. The lumberjack walks and chops automatically, so the player’s role is to manage progression rather than direct the character. Trees are cut down to collect Wood and earn XP, and large Boss Trees appear as bigger challenges.

Each run involves choices made by the player. Before a run, the player decides which region to enter and which companions to bring along. Cutting trees allows the player to advance through a region and unlock new maps. Between and during runs, the player collects resources, selects upgrades and unlocks nodes on a Skill Tree to progress further.

The game also includes Active abilities, which can be used during a run to speed up progress, and companions who assist the lumberjack. On Steam, the game’s review rating is currently listed as Mostly Positive, having previously been listed as Positive.
