Duppy Detective Tashia

Duppy Detective Tashia follows Tashia, who chases her assailant and finds the Halfway Market, a hidden market beneath a large cotton tree. She discovers she has lost more than her mobile phone and has become caught up in a murder mystery. She must identify the culprit among the market’s ghostly inhabitants.

The game is set in a world that combines the magical and the everyday. Players explore the market’s vending stalls while carrying out their investigation. Locations can be visited at different times of day, as the suspects move around the market. The market is home to Duppy, spirits described as mischievous, who both trick and teach.

The core of the game is investigation and deduction. Players collect clues, uncover motives and work out which suspect had the means to commit the crime. There are seven suspects, each based on creatures from myth and legend, and players interrogate them. Statements are cross-referenced against gathered facts to deduce who is responsible.
