ESCAPEAWAY! is a retro-styled endless runner and platformer in which the player flees the Underdepths, where the Devil has brought them. It was originally made for a game jam in two weeks.
ESCAPEAWAY! is an endless runner and platformer with a retro look. The player must escape the Underdepths, a place the Devil has wrongly brought them to. The game was originally created for a game jam over a period of two weeks.
The player moves through a series of rooms, and each room is randomly generated, so no two runs are the same. The game relies on quick reflexes, and the character keeps running throughout and cannot be stopped. The final room contains the Devil as the player’s opponent.
The game also includes an endless mode for players who want to keep testing their skills. The pixel art is by ShawSure and the chiptune soundtrack is by River347.
