ESCAPEAWAY! is a retro-styled endless runner and platformer in which the player flees the Underdepths after being taken there by the Devil.

ESCAPEAWAY! is an endless runner and platformer with a retro pixel art aesthetic. The player has been wrongfully brought to a place called the Underdepths by the Devil and must escape by running through a series of rooms. The game was originally created for a game jam over a two week period and is described by its developer as short in length.

The core of the game is continuous movement: the player cannot stop running and must rely on quick reflexes to navigate each area. Every room entered is randomly generated, so no two runs follow the same layout. The main run concludes with a final room in which the player confronts and must defeat the Devil.

Alongside the main progression, the game includes an Endless mode for players who want to keep testing their skills. The pixel art was produced by ShawSure and the chiptune soundtrack was composed by River347.
