EVERSPACE™ 2

EVERSPACE 2 is a single-player space shooter set in the Demilitarized Zone of Cluster 34, a collection of war-torn star systems. The story follows Adam, a clone pilot trying to escape the DMZ, whose past becomes entangled with rival factions including colonial forces, local warlords, cultists and hostile aliens. Along the way he recruits a team of companions, each with their own storylines, who join missions, provide upgradable perks and unlock new abilities. The main campaign is stated to run around 30 hours, with over 90 hours of content available for players who pursue every side mission, challenge and secret.

Combat is built around close-range dogfighting, with the player dodging, dashing, rolling and boosting through encounters against drones, fighters, bombers and gunships. Larger capital ships and ancient guardians serve as more demanding opponents, and the environment can be used tactically against superior numbers. Progression relies on loot: players collect weapons, modules, devices and perks and combine them with different ship classes to suit their playstyle, and traders across the cluster sell improved ship models or store existing ships while another type is tried.

Exploration covers more than 100 handcrafted locations spread over seven star systems, reached via hyperdrive. These areas contain main and side missions, events, outlaw caches, salvageable wrecks and hidden treasures, some of which require solving puzzles, destroying asteroids or restoring ruins to uncover. After the campaign, endgame content takes the form of High-Risk Areas and Ancient Rifts, where players face progressively tougher enemies in pursuit of legendary gear.
