How to Grow Your Sausage is a desktop game in which a sentient sausage takes control of a butcher’s mind in order to feed itself. Input from the keyboard and mouse, including key strokes, clicks and button presses, feeds the sausage and makes it grow. Growth unlocks permanent upgrades, items and outfits.

Players spend money on upgrades to make the meat grinding process more efficient. Different types of meats, grinders and cleavers can be bought and equipped to increase the rate of growth. Each time the sausage grows, it unlocks bonuses, items or new features.

The game includes two layers of reset-based progression. Prestige resets part of the player’s progress in exchange for permanent multipliers and points, which can be spent on exclusive items and upgrades. Time Travel is a second prestige layer that further increases the sausage’s gains and moves it towards its final goal. Cosmetic options include different hats, counters and skins.
