How to Grow Your Sausage

How to Grow Your Sausage is a desktop game about a sentient sausage that takes control of a butcher’s mind in order to feed itself. Rather than relying on in-game actions alone, the sausage is fed by the player’s general computer activity: every key stroke, mouse click and button press adds to its growth. As the sausage grows, it unlocks permanent upgrades, items and outfits.

The core progression is built around a meat grinding process. Money earned can be spent on upgrades that make sausage growth more efficient, and players can purchase and equip different types of meat, grinders and cleavers to increase the rate of growth. Each time the sausage grows it unlocks bonuses, items or new features. A prestige system allows part of the progress to be reset in exchange for permanent multipliers and points that can be spent on exclusive items and upgrades.

Beyond prestige, a second reset layer called Time Travel provides a further boost to gains and is tied to the sausage reaching its ultimate goal. The game also includes cosmetic customisation, with hats, counters and skins that can be equipped.
