Island Restoration

Island Restoration is a cleaning game set in a world damaged by factories and hazards. Islands have been left polluted and wildlife has moved away. The player takes on the task of sailing from island to island, clearing hazards and helping nature return. As an island is cleaned, its environment gradually recovers, and animals can be rescued and petted along the way. There are no timers, so each island can be restored at whatever pace the player chooses.

Cleaning is carried out with six different tools, which can be upgraded through a skill tree. Progress is slow to begin with, but upgrades and newly unlocked skills speed up the process and allow access to further regions. Hidden secrets can also be uncovered while exploring. The game includes four biomes spread across twelve maps, along with a built-in randomiser that alters the layout of each island so that no two visits are the same.

Side contracts become available as the player advances, offering a choice between short jobs on small islands and longer efforts on larger ones with bigger rewards. Each contract generates a new island. The player’s boat remains with them throughout and can be customised by swapping and combining cosmetic parts.
