Kint
Kint is a text-based online multiplayer RPG set in the world of Seram, a land shaped by the arrival of a group known as the Kilns nearly a century ago. Players explore different regions, interacting with objects and people to uncover lore fragments about the setting’s history, inhabitants, and the abilities of the gifted Ferrus. These fragments are collected into a shared codex that maps out the game’s world.
Each week, players can submit one proposal for Canonization, combining lore fragments related to a single codex topic, with additional fragments costing an in-game resource called Insight. Players can contribute to others’ proposals and vote on which topics should be considered. When fragments conflict, players take part in a weekly review process, held each Saturday, to decide which version is held as truth. At the end of the week, the fragments with the highest votes are marked as canon in the codex for all players, and contributors earn experience toward their researcher rank.
Kint includes social features such as a friends list drawn from Steam, the ability to send lore fragments to friends via an in-game mailbox, and regional chat for communicating with other players nearby. The game supports accessibility options, including an OpenDyslexic font, with further settings planned during development. It is designed as a persistent, living world without fixed update cycles, meaning NPCs, events, and locations can change over time independently of player actions.
