Late Order

Late Order is a horror game in which the player takes on the night shift at a fast-food restaurant for the first time. During the shift, a supernatural entity inhabiting the body of the restaurant’s mascot, referred to as Ol’Jerry, observes the player, sets the rules and waits for them to slip up. The aim is to get through the shift, follow the rules and escape before dawn.

The core of the game is the day-to-day work of a fast-food employee. Players take orders through an interactive terminal and prepare burgers according to recipes and the requests of individual guests. Each night introduces a new set of rules, and breaking them results in the player becoming the monster’s next meal. Making mistakes while cooking or assembling orders also carries consequences.

The game places supernatural horror within an otherwise ordinary workplace setting. Players are given room to decide how to organise the running of the diner, working out their own approach to managing orders and tasks while keeping to the rules set each night.
