Murmuring of Moth Mouth

Murmuring of Moth Mouth is a short psychological horror visual novel. Yuna is behind on rent and has missed other opportunities, and she sets out early for an interview that could change her circumstances. On a near-empty highway her arrival time keeps getting later. She encounters a recording from a sender called Dead Channel that is eleven years old and contains her drive. A voice in the damaged audio warns her against taking the left exit, while her navigation tells her to turn left. A girl from the recording, Blimba, appears in the road and knows Yuna’s name. Other characters include Orzi and Pimmy, who is found at the Waystation. The story explores the comfort of being told what to do and the difficulty of ceasing to wait for life to begin.

Progression is driven by choices. Players can follow the instructions they are given, question the recordings, or look for something outside them. These decisions shape the story and lead to one of three distinct endings. The narrative is delivered mainly through tense conversations and promises that change over time.

Presentation includes orthographic environments, cinematic backdrops, close-up character images, and motion graphics. The audio consists of a soundtrack, road ambience, and recordings with deliberately damaged sound. The game has 3 user reviews on Steam.
