Paradox Tower is a resource management RPG with deterministic auto-battler combat. Players guide Eternia, the Witch of Time, and her demon cat Bubu up a tower, using stat upgrades, spells and time rewinding.

Paradox Tower is a resource management RPG with top-down, grid-based exploration of hand-crafted labyrinths. The player controls Eternia, a young Witch of Time, and Bubu, her demon cat familiar, as they climb a tower that demons have taken over while the witch council is in turmoil. The game uses a retro 2D pixel art style and can be played with keyboard, mouse or controller, including on Steam Deck.

Combat is a deterministic auto-battler with no random elements, and the strength of each enemy is shown clearly in advance. Outcomes depend on the player’s choices about which enemies to fight and in what order. Power-ups raise attack and defence, and spells can be cast against enemies, though each spell needs time to recharge. Each level adds new puzzle mechanics to the exploration. A rewind function lets players go back in time if they become stuck, so they can try different approaches without penalty.

Demons found in the tower offer extra help for trade, and payment can be made in money or with the player’s soul. Between levels, the Space-Time Room lets players rest, talk to witches and demons, and unlock extra powers. Three difficulty modes are available, intended to suit both casual players and those experienced with Magic Tower style games.
