PatriotMemoirs 4K

PatriotMemoirs 4K is a story-driven game set during the War of Resistance against Japan. The player takes on the role of Zhu Shiming, a man who goes undercover within an enemy intelligence unit known as No. 86, posing as a collaborator by day while working covertly for the resistance by night. The narrative draws on historical events, places and figures from that period.

The game uses a non-linear structure, allowing players to move between daytime work duties and nighttime free exploration. Different scenes and encounters are available depending on location, time and prior choices, and the game tracks over 30 characters, 256 decision points and 609 branching plots, leading to 16 different endings. Gameplay includes activities associated with espionage, such as lock picking, handling microfilm, resisting a lie detector, knife handling, and other minigames.

The game features approximately 600 minutes of cinematic visual content depicting the setting of an isolated island called Shangchuan. Player choices affect the fates of other characters as well as the protagonist, including scenarios involving betrayal, sacrifice and moral dilemmas among allies and enemies.
