Pumpkin Woods

Pumpkin Woods is a witch-themed open world survival crafting sandbox set in a strange and unforgiving forest. Players gather magical resources, brew potions, trade with merchants and explore landmarks scattered throughout the world. Survival depends on managing four stats: health, happiness, hunger and thirst. The world is shaped by procedural generation and dynamic weather.

The game offers several ways to move around, including travelling on foot, by enchanted broom, or in a traveller wagon. Players can customise their witch’s attire, furnish a secluded cabin and adopt a companion in the form of a cat or a unicorn. Death is expected as part of the experience, and the developer describes a design approach with no handholding, encouraging players to explore, experiment and work things out for themselves. Hidden secrets are placed throughout the world.

Pumpkin Woods supports mouse and keyboard only and is designed for 16:9 resolutions. A chill mode is included for players who prefer a more relaxed pace.
