Rehaunted

Rehaunted is a first-person psychological detective horror game. The player takes the role of Connor Raines, a detective assigned to what appears to be a straightforward case: a young woman found dead in her own home. As the investigation continues, the evidence begins to conflict with itself, and blood traces, fingerprints, hidden recordings and personal belongings gradually point towards a darker version of events. Each room of the house contains further pieces of the story.

Investigation is carried out using a set of tools, including a UV torch, a camera, a magnifier, a walkie-talkie and an evidence board. Some clues are not visible to the naked eye and require the UV torch to reveal. The radio keeps the player in contact with another detective, and conversations include dialogue options that expand the story and question the player’s assumptions. Evidence can be connected on the board to reconstruct events, and the game does not state the answers directly, leaving the player to form their own conclusions from contradictory clues.

The developer describes the game as lasting around two to three hours. It features a detailed crime scene environment, cinematic visuals, oppressive sound design and supernatural moments that build tension over the course of the investigation. The story deals with secrets, manipulation and disturbing revelations.
