SmashCore

SmashCore is a short incremental game built around physics-based destruction. The player is given gravity powers by a mysterious core and uses a gravity cursor to smash asteroids. The dust produced is consumed and fed to the core, which provides riches in return. These spoils are spent on upgrading the player’s gravitational abilities.

The asteroid destruction is physics-driven rather than governed by health bars. Collisions remove physical chunks from the asteroids, so the way objects are struck determines how they break apart. Upgrades are arranged in a large skill tree covering the player’s gravity powers.

As the player progresses, they travel deeper into space, where ancient technology and new types of ore can be discovered. The game also includes a vault that can be opened to reveal further riches.
