SmashCore

SmashCore is a short incremental game built around physics-based asteroid destruction. The player is given gravity powers by a mysterious core and uses them to smash asteroids, then consumes the resulting dust to feed the core. In return, the core provides riches.

Asteroids in the game have no health bars. Instead, collisions remove chunks from the asteroid itself, so damage is shown through the physical break-up of the rock. The player controls a gravity cursor to smash asteroids and gather the dust left behind.

The riches earned are spent on upgrades to the player’s gravitational powers, which are organised in a large skill tree. Progression takes the player deeper into space, where ancient technology and new ores can be found. The game also includes a vault, which the player can open to find the riches inside.
