Sniper Dan

Sniper Dan is a hidden object game in which the player controls Dan, a troubleshooter who solves problems from long range using a sniper rifle. Rather than targeting enemies, each job follows three steps: reading clues to work out what needs fixing, scanning a 3D scene through the scope to locate the issue, then taking a single shot to resolve it. Tasks include repairing rusty taps, tightening bolts, fixing signs, popping balloons, jump-starting fireworks and stopping a pelican that steals. Nobody is harmed at any point.

The game contains more than 160 jobs spread across six locations, which include villages, parks, farms, airports and cities. Job types include everyday jobs, Answerphone requests, emergency jobs, boss jobs and special challenges, with optional work available for extra money. Some jobs have dynamic solutions, so they can play out differently on repeat attempts. The locations also hold over 100 secrets, more than 200 ambient stories and 45 photo opportunities.

Completing jobs earns money and reputation, which go towards upgrading and customising the rifle, unlocking costumes and collectibles, and decorating Dan’s office hub. Additional modes include Time Attack, Ammo Hunt and Snapshot Mode, alongside bonus games and three minigames: Bowling, Tennis and Air Hockey. Progress is overseen by a character named Rank Chook. On Steam, the game holds a Very Positive user review rating from more than 100 reviews.
