SOL Shogunate

SOL Shogunate is a hack-and-slash action game in which players control Yuzuki, the last heir of a samurai family destroyed by a rival clan. Set on a reimagined Moon colonised by the SOL Shogunate, the game takes place across metropolises built with artificial gravity, space elevators and bullet trains, blending feudal Japanese aesthetics with science fiction technology. As an outlaw ronin, Yuzuki pursues revenge against the shogunate elite while uncovering the fate of the workers who sustain the cities below.

Combat centres on multiple weapon types based on traditional Japanese arms modified for multi-planetary warfare, alongside a growing set of combat skills for both ranged and melee engagements. Weapons can be infused with elemental effects, and players can collect gene splices to customise skills and abilities, including upgrades such as bio-ceramic skin and enhanced vision. Movement makes use of a jet pack and nano-fibre grapple cables, allowing traversal across varying gravitational environments and enabling acrobatic combat sequences.

The game features multiple explorable lunar districts, each themed after a different era of Japanese history, along with dynamic, multi-phase boss encounters that require identifying and exploiting enemy weaknesses. Music shifts in intensity during battles, with tracks composed by several recording artists, including the Japanese rock band AliA.
