SPACE JK

SPACE JK is a life sim about caring for pixel-art roommates called JK. Each JK hatches from a cosmic egg and has one of ten personalities, such as cuddly, diligent, airheaded or cool, and each personality responds differently to the same situation. Players decorate the room, put out food, pat their JKs on the head and send them on errands. The JKs gradually grow more friendly with time spent together.

If a table is left in the room, each JK living there draws one pixel-art sticker per day. There are twelve series with 144 designs, and seasonal and event artwork is added over time. Stickers are kept in a personal sticker book that can be arranged freely, and they can be traded with other players. Rooms can be customised with chosen colours, furniture placement and six moods, and the view outside the window changes to match the mood. Furniture can be repainted. JKs also run errands, take part in club activities and go on occasional excursions, and the player sometimes receives letters.

The game has several online features. Players can add stickers to Altair’s Sticker Book, a public album built by all players, trade through the Wish Post, display their collection in a Moonside Gallery that others can visit, and welcome a JK raised by another player through JK Scout. Raids occur when visitors from space cause trouble, and players deal with them together. The game also runs in a browser, using the same account as the Steam version so progress carries over. It runs on the developer’s servers, so a constant internet connection and a free FaSPel ID account are required. Content made by other players, including sticker book pages, galleries and player names, appears in some areas of the game.
