Stormgate

Stormgate is a real-time strategy game built in Unreal Engine 5, set in a post-apocalyptic science fantasy universe where Earth’s fate is threatened by two warring alien factions. Players choose from three asymmetric factions: the Human Vanguard, the Infernal Host, and the Celestial Armada, each with distinct units and playstyles. The game offers a hero-free ranked ladder for competitive play, a co-op mode where players team up with Heroes against AI opponents, and a story-driven campaign that follows Heroes fighting for the future of the world.

The campaign begins with a free Vanguard prologue containing three playable missions, with additional chapters available for purchase and further releases planned. Versus mode includes matchmaking for formats such as 2v2, along with a growing library of maps covering free-for-all and Arcade-style custom games. The interface includes streamlined inputs and automatic control groups intended to make the game approachable while retaining a high skill ceiling for experienced players.

Stormgate includes an integrated Map Editor that allows players to create custom terrain, units, maps, mods, and game modes, with tools designed for iteration and sharing creations with the community. The game uses globally distributed servers combined with Rollback technology aimed at reducing lag and maintaining stable connections between players.
