The Devil’s Due

Development
By Rob from the Shack
Cheat, bluff, and sabotage your way out of Hell in this poker fueled roguelite where rule breaking, dirty tricks, and evolving upgrades shape every run.

The Devil’s Due is a cheating focused poker roguelite set in the fiery depths of Hell. After losing your soul in a rigged match with the Devil, the only way out is to outplay and outcheat an army of bizarre demonic opponents inspired by the seven deadly sins.

Battles unfold as poker duels where stronger hands deal more damage and card values provide defense. Players can break the rules at any moment by swapping in hidden cards, raising values, sabotaging enemies, and bending the mechanics to create impossible plays. Each trick raises the enemy suspicion meter, and pushing your luck too far can trigger devastating counterattacks.

Between fights, the levels of Hell open into corrupted shops you can scam, shrines offering unholy upgrades, and suspicious minigames that reward creative players. As a roguelite, each run unlocks new cheat cards, relics, permanent upgrades, and strategies that change how you approach the climb through all seven layers.

With its Monty Python inspired animations, tactile UI, and a constant flow of absurd rule breaking options, The Devil’s Due delivers a chaotic and satisfying twist on classic poker gameplay.
