WARCANA

WARCANA is a fantasy-inspired real-time base defence strategy game that incorporates a deck-building mechanic. Players take on the role of a magician who must defend their base against waves of attacks while simultaneously summoning armies to overwhelm opponents. The game can be played through single-player campaigns featuring over 30 scenarios, or in multiplayer modes including a battle royale format supporting up to 30 players.

Cards in the game are tied to individual tech trees, offering abilities such as summoning buildings, units, or casting spells. Additional cards are unlocked through summoned economy buildings, requiring players to plan their tech tree route carefully. Poor choices can leave a player’s base vulnerable before the round timer runs out. The single-player campaign is designed to introduce core mechanics and the differences between devotions, and an in-game editor allows players to create their own scenarios.

Multiplayer options include a Battle Royale mode where each player faces two direct opponents at a time, a Horde Mode focused on achieving the highest kill score, and a Stream Sniper mode that lets players compete against streamers within an online community. The game features multiple devotion types, including Fay Caller and Occultism, each with distinct perks, mechanics, and theming. Players can select primary and secondary devotions to build multicoloured decks, adding further variety to gameplay.
