WORDLACE is a word-search puzzle game in which every letter on the board belongs to exactly one answer, with no filler tiles. It contains 640 puzzles split evenly between English and Russian.

WORDLACE is a word-search puzzle game built around a single constraint: the answers cover the entire board, and each letter is used by exactly one word. There are no filler tiles, so accounting for every letter becomes part of the deduction, and a solved puzzle leaves no unused space on the grid.

Words are traced across neighbouring tiles, including diagonals. A route cannot cross itself or the route of any other answer. The developer states that each puzzle is verified before release using an exact-cover search, confirming that no other combination of words in the game’s dictionary fits the same tiles and that each answer has only one valid path. The game includes 640 puzzles, with 320 in English and 320 in Russian. Each language has its own vocabulary, difficulty progression and separate progress tracking, and the interface language can be set independently of the puzzle language. Puzzles are arranged into eight chapters. Difficulty is rated from board geometry (how the board is shaped, how paths tangle and how words interlock), with more advanced vocabulary reserved for later chapters. A new chapter opens once 70% of the previous one has been completed.

The game has no timers, lives, advertisements or purchasable hints. Hints are offered in five stages: one letter, the starting tile, a second letter, half the route and finally the full answer, with a confirmation prompt before a word is revealed. Solves completed without hints are recorded permanently. Both mouse and keyboard are fully supported, and keyboard navigation skips tiles that cannot be selected. Accessibility options include light and dark themes, a high-contrast mode, colourblind markers, interface scaling from 85% to 135% and screen reader output that describes what has happened. WORDLACE is sold as a single purchase, runs offline, and requires no account, with no telemetry or in-game store.
