A Case of Fraud
A Case of Fraud hands you a binder of documents right at the start and one job: work out what happened to the CEO of a pet translation startup who’s vanished into thin air. No hidden clues, no searching around for evidence. Everything you need is already in your hands, you just need to actually read it properly and start joining the dots.
Inspired by The Roottrees are Dead, this is a non-linear detective game where the puzzle isn’t finding information, it’s interpreting it. You’ll piece together who’s who among the family and staff at Zoolingo, work out motive and opportunity, and slowly expose the fraud hiding behind a seemingly successful funding round. It rewards close reading and proper thinking rather than clicking around hoping something lights up.
It’s a short case but a dense one, with plenty of red herrings and connections to spot along the way. And yes, there are some genuinely lovely pets to figure out too, because even a fraud investigation needs a bit of charm.
