Anomaly Helpline
Anomaly Helpline is a game centred on answering incoming calls from civilians who are experiencing anomalies. Each call presents a situation belonging to one of several anomaly categories, and the player must use only the information given by the caller to determine which anomaly is being described.
Once an anomaly has been identified, the player examines its traits and browses an item catalogue to compile a care package intended to help the caller survive their situation. This process involves compiling a report that combines the identified anomaly with the assembled care package before submitting it for review.
The outcome of each call depends on the accuracy of the report. Correct identification and item selection lead to a reward, while incorrect reports result in a punishment. The game also features an overarching narrative involving an organisation referred to as Nova and references to an unexplained 1996 incident.
