Aquarium Anomaly

Aquarium Anomaly is a short first-person observational game set in an aquarium shark tunnel that repeats endlessly. Players walk along a monitored walkway with sharks visible on both sides and overhead, and the aim is to reach the far end of the tunnel. The developer cites Exit 8 and Platform 8 as inspirations for the design.

The core loop is built around noticing irregularities. As the player moves through the tunnel, they must decide whether anything has changed from what they consider normal. If an anomaly is present, the correct action is to turn around and exit the way they came; if nothing is wrong, they continue forward. Making the wrong choice returns the player to the entrance, so progress depends on careful observation and memory of the tunnel’s baseline state.

A single run is expected to take between 15 and 60 minutes. The developer permits streaming, recording and uploading videos of the game, including monetised content, without prior permission and with no restrictions on spoilers. The game has now been released on Steam and holds a Positive user review rating from more than ten reviews.
