Augmented Yut

Augmented Yut is an online turn-based strategy game built on the familiar rules of Yut Nori. It supports two to four players. According to its Steam description, the game takes Yut Nori as its starting point and applies unusual rule variations, with Alkkagi, Gomoku, Janggi and chess named as games whose styles of play can be brought into a match. Players work towards victory under whichever rules are in effect.

The central mechanic is a set of 50 augments. These modify the rules and combine differently from match to match. Other elements listed include special pieces, traps, effects that change the board, and a range of victory conditions.

For online play, players can join a Quick Match or create and join private rooms. The Steam page also credits a UI button click sound effect, edited for the game, to Nathan Gibson, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. The licence applies only to that sound effect and not to the game as a whole.
