Super Takoyaki Battle
Super Takoyaki Battle is a cooking game built around making takoyaki, the Japanese griddled octopus balls. Players pour batter and add ingredients into each hole of a takoyaki pan, then wait for the underside to brown before turning each ball over with a pick. Flipping too early or too late affects the result, and once both sides are cooked the takoyaki is finished. Points are awarded based on how well each one turns out, and the aim is to produce as many good takoyaki as possible before the timer runs out.
The game includes several modes. Party Battle is the headline mode, with up to four players sharing a single large grill while items and random events alter the course of a match. Battle mode is a more straightforward contest for up to four players, and CPU opponents can be selected in place of human players. Score Attack is a single-player mode in which players cook to order across three different takoyaki makers, a home model, a food stall unit and a commercial machine, each presenting its own conditions.
Online rankings allow players to compare high scores with others around the world. Controllers are required for local multiplayer.
