Corsair Fleet: Tides of Plunder
Corsair Fleet: Tides of Plunder is a pixel-art idle RPG developed around building a pirate fleet from a single starting vessel. Players choose a captain, begin with a sloop and work through five ship classes up to a war galleon. Naval combat is turn-based, with cannon exchanges against pirates, the Royal Navy, ghost ships and krakens. There are five bosses spread across five seas. The game has moved from development to release status on Steam.
Progression continues while the game is closed. Ships can be sent on short, medium or long voyages, and loot accumulates offline to be collected on return. Crew members are represented as cards, each with a role such as gunner, helmsman or healer, and the crew system uses star ranks and synergy chains in a light deck-building format.
Expeditions include roguelike elements: branching encounters at sea present choices to fight, flee or take a risk for extra treasure, so individual runs differ from one another. Plunder is spent in a port town on ship and gear upgrades. A prestige system allows players to reset their progress in exchange for permanent bonuses, and global leaderboards track player rankings.
