Monster Meals: Big Bite Diner is a game that combines exploration with restaurant management and cooking. Players venture into procedurally generated areas to gather unusual ingredients before their energy runs out, then return to a diner to prepare dishes for monster customers. Each expedition produces different layouts, enemies and routes, while customers must be served quickly before their patience runs out.

The gameplay loop involves choosing a menu based on gathered ingredients, preparing dishes through precision cooking minigames, and managing service during busy periods. Exploration takes place across multiple biomes, including a city, sewers, desert and forest, each offering different ingredients and challenges. Progress carries between days through persistent upgrades, allowing players to unlock new kitchen stations, expand their diner and improve their dishes.

The game can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three other players. In multiplayer, players can split up to gather ingredients more efficiently or coordinate roles within the kitchen during rush periods. Over time, the small monster diner can be developed into a larger and more efficient restaurant capable of serving increasingly demanding customers.
