BABELOMANIA

BABELOMANIA is an episodic technogothic horror adventure. The story takes place in central France on 14 May of an unspecified year in the 2000s. The player attends the wedding of Francesco Colombo and Delphine Badeaux, held at the Château de Bois-le-Dumont, a strange historical estate with a concealed dark past. The game opens with a quotation from Genesis 11:6, the passage relating to the Tower of Babel.

The narrative is presented in a visual novel style and is combined with point-and-click puzzles and light survival elements. The setup describes events turning hostile once the lights go out, with the player needing to rely on their wits and determination to keep both their humanity and their life.

The game is intended for a mature audience. It contains content that some players may find disturbing, including blood, gore, violence, intense fear, jump scares, explicit language, death, trauma, PTSD, panic attacks, prejudice and xenophobia. It is a work of fiction. Some well-known historical figures appear, but the situations and dialogue involving them are fictional.
