Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes

Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a roguelite that combines fleet management with real-time tactical combat, set within the Battlestar Galactica universe. Players lead a fleet of survivors pursued by the Cylon Fleet, attempting to reach the Battlestar Galactica across repeated runs. Each run alternates between fleet management phases and combat encounters, with decisions affecting the fleet’s ongoing status in areas such as politics, healthcare, and maintenance.

During management phases, players have a limited number of turns to prepare before the next Cylon assault. Actions include sending expeditions to points of interest for resources, allocating supplies and personnel to resolve situations, upgrading ships, and training crew. These decisions influence dynamic narrative events, which can include epidemics, system malfunctions, civil unrest, or the discovery of a Cylon infiltrator among the crew, requiring investigation within a limited time frame.

Combat takes place in real time, with players coordinating frontline squadrons and Gunstar strikes while facing numerically superior Cylon forces. A Tactical Pause feature allows players to review enemy movements and plan attacks. The game includes up to four unlockable starting fleets with distinct playstyles, additional squadron units and weapons unlocked through trials, permanent meta upgrades that carry over between runs, and adjustable difficulty levels.
