Blood Lily: Killers Can’t Sink a Yuri Ship

Blood Lily: Killers Can’t Sink a Yuri Ship is a B-horror mystery comedy adventure game. The player follows Lily, a posh college student who has arranged a holiday intending to get closer to her crush, Sally. The trip is repeatedly interrupted by serial killers, and the story concerns Lily’s efforts to deal with them. A third character, Lucy, is a blonde girl whom Lily meets during the trip. The game was released as part of the Bahamut 30th Anniversary Indie Game Promotion Program.

The game’s presentation uses a distinctive visual approach: everyone other than the protagonist and her companions is displayed as a silhouette, so any of the shadowed characters could be a killer. Exploration takes place in 2.5D, with camerawork intended to support that perspective. There are ten endings, and the outcome for Lily and Sally depends on the choices the player makes.

The game is divided into two chapters. Chapter 1 has been substantially adapted from tabletop role-playing game sessions the developer played with friends, based on a script originally written by Marikoro and adapted with their consent. Character sprite materials are sourced from Wataokiba under their commercial terms of use. The developer permits streaming and Let’s Play videos, including monetisation through the features of online video platforms.
