Brick by Brick
Brick by Brick is a first-person sorting and building sandbox from an independent developer. The player begins in a room containing piles of around 4,000 loose plastic bricks and a set of empty shelves. Each brick has a designated place based on its style and colour, and the task is to pick up pieces one at a time, find the correct shelf and put them away. Points are awarded according to the number of studs on each piece, and the shelves fill visibly as the collection is organised. There are no timers, so sessions can be as short or as long as the player chooses.
As sorting progresses, two abilities are unlocked and improve with continued play. Finder helps locate a specific brick, while Summon pulls bricks towards the player. Once pieces are on the shelves they can be used for construction: build plates and free-building areas allow structures to be assembled piece by piece without following set instructions, and completing the sort opens up additional building space. Brick interaction is physics based. If the player wants to begin again, an earthquake can be triggered to knock the whole collection back onto the floor, or pieces can be returned to the shelves for a reset without the disruption.
The game supports single-player and online multiplayer, with a host able to share a room code so a friend can join to sort, explore and build in the same space. It includes persistent save files, keyboard and mouse controls, full controller support, and Steam achievements and statistics.
