Capes

Capes is a turn based strategy game set in a dystopian city controlled by supervillains for the past twenty years, where developing super powers is illegal. Players build a team of heroes and take part in campaign and patrol missions, with the option to follow the main story or explore side missions that unlock further heroes, skill points and challenges.

Each recruitable hero has a distinct set of powers and abilities, requiring different tactical approaches during combat. Missions allow up to four heroes to work together, with each pairing unlocking a unique team up ability. Combat is turn based and focused on positioning and strategic choices rather than random chance or cover mechanics, with hero power not equating to invulnerability.

Heroes can be levelled up using skill points earned by completing objectives and challenges, unlocking new abilities and upgrades, including personal Ultimate moves. Completing hero specific challenge collections during missions grants bonus skill points and can unlock optional missions that provide further background on individual heroes.
