City Tales – Medieval Era

City Tales – Medieval Era is a city-building game set in a hand-painted medieval world. Players take on the role of a leader who develops districts and manages a growing kingdom, choosing between two available maps as starting locations. Rather than using a fixed grid system, the game uses a district zoning tool that allows cities to expand and evolve organically based on the needs of their inhabitants.

Each district has its own preferences depending on the citizens living there, with some favouring taverns and others preferring churches, and these areas change over time according to the player’s decisions. The game includes an economic system in which players balance resources and respond to challenges that arise as the city and its economy develop. Players can also customise buildings and streets using a range of decorations, and can alter the layout and exterior of select buildings and wonders.

The game features nine companion characters, each with skills that can be developed through guidance. These companions can be assigned to oversee key areas of production, where they become autonomous and provide bonuses, and they have individual missions that add further narrative depth to the city and its people.
