CleanFall
CleanFall is a sandbox survival roguelike that mashes together ship-building, tower defense, and a genuinely inventive alchemic turret system. You’re playing as a small cleaning bot who just wants a tidy home, but the planet’s been dragged towards the sun by some tech nerd with main character energy, so now there’s dust, death, and chaos everywhere. Naturally, the only fix is to descend into the planet’s core and sort the whole mess out, armed with nothing but a modified vacuum sweeper.
Every run throws you into a procedurally generated underground world full of exotic creatures, strange flora, and shifting biomes, so you’re constantly adapting your strategy. You’ll build and customise your own warships, combine turrets into things like drone factories and mortars, and harvest weird resources to survive the deeper you go. There’s a proper perk system too, letting your humble cleaning bot grow into something considerably more dangerous.
On top of the survival and combat, there’s a narrative that unfolds a bit more with each attempt, slowly revealing a plot two centuries in the making. It’s a strange, funny, and surprisingly deep world for a game that starts with you basically playing as a vacuum cleaner.
