Cobble Climber

Cobble Climber is a climbing game set inside a well. The player controls each hand independently, using the left mouse button to grab with the left hand and the right mouse button to grab with the right hand. The water level rises as the climb continues, and lingering too long on a hold increases the risk of drowning.

The game features three types of hold, each with a different hold time. Smaller holds can be gripped for a shorter period than larger ones, and every hold has a countdown that runs while the player is attached to it. As the player ascends the well, large holds become less common, meaning the available grips get smaller and shorter-lived the higher the climb goes.

Alongside the climbing, the ascent includes exploration elements. Lost possessions and notes can be found on the way up, offering details about the world the player character is trapped in. The developer describes the game as difficult, and falling is part of the intended experience.
